Lead Member and Director
Jeff Figlewicz has 20 years experience in a variety of financial and accounting roles in both the public and private company sectors. He presently serves as a Managing Director and a lead member of accounting services with DiversiCorp LLC. He presently serves a variety of clients in accounting, administration and remediation advisory services.
In 2004 Jeff joined M-Wave, Inc. (Nasdaq) as Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer. In 2005, he was appointed Corporate Secretary, and in August 2006 was appointed Chief Financial Officer where he remained until early 2009. At M-Wave, he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial reporting including budgeting, forecasting, working capital management and public filing requirements.
He was instrumental in helping M-Wave change its strategic focus from a traditional brick-and-mortar manufacturing business into a virtual manufacturer, providing the company the ability to quickly scale its business to the changing demands of its customers.
Figlewicz has also performed due diligence reviews for acquisitions and divestitures, and in 2006 successfully coordinated the inventory liquidation of one of M-Wave’s underperforming divisions, achieving returns of approximately 50 cents on the dollar, reducing the company’s liquidation costs and achieving recoveries above expectations.
Prior to joining M-Wave he worked as a Controller for Ametek-National Controls Corporation, and he also held various financial positions at Meridian Rail Corporation, a Chicago-based manufacturer in the railroad industry that enter federal bankruptcy proceedings. He also served in the accounting department of Stiffel, a prominent consumer lighting company.
He has played an active, hands-on leadership role in Chapter 11 reorganizations, financial restructurings, operational turnarounds and distressed business sales. He is particularly adept at managing crisis situations and bringing structure and discipline to troubled business situations.
Figlewicz is adept at profit improvement having experience with six sigma and lean manufacturing, participating in several green belt and kaizan teams. Additionally, he has a personal interest that has been translated through his work in forensic accounting and investigations.
He received his Bachelors degree in Finance from Illinois State University and his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in the Chicago area. He will provide both coaching and consulting support to DiversiCorp clients working principally on accounting, financing and bookkeeping matters for smaller private companies.
