Facilitative Coaching Program (FCP)

FCP is a proprietary blend of Executive, Business, and Life coaching. It is geared to enlighten, empower and impart fact-based knowledge, interventional techniques and strategies to motivate an owner, principal or executive to expeditiously address the threats to a company’s viability while building on the strengths, and opportunities to substantiate future operation and also overcome emotional impediments that could stand in the way of that goal.

It begins with an intense Comprehensive Business Survey (CBS), a battery of interative personal and business questions, tests and data gathering that help define the status and the realistic potential for a successful FCP. This may entail a multiple of interviews and assessments to fully comprehend the conditions precedent.

The FPC engages up to six (or more) integrated processes over a two to eight week time span plus necessary individual follow up support sessions.  It gradually moves the coach from a methodical gatherer of oral and written information on the business and client to a compilation and analytical phase. A profile and status position is then derived. The collaborative interaction and counseling imparts to client a deeper, objective understanding of where the business is, what its realistic prospects are for survival, and very importantly, what intervention or other actions can motivated the client to avert failure, and facilitate success. Legal alternatives to preserve the business and confidence building is employed to facilitate client’s success.

PROCESS ONE: Orient, listen and learn

Regardless how a particular program is ultimately constructed, the coach and prospective client begin with NO FEE introductory phone discussion. This is when the coach seeks to be “placed in the shoes” of the client to fully understand the status and predisposition of the affected business and the client.  Quantitative and qualitative facts help the coach determine which DiversiCorp service, if any, is appropriate. If a program, service or engagement is indicated, a plain English agreement and financial arrangements are worked out.

PROCESS TWO: Research, survey and question

In all coaching programs the pre-requisite is an intense, collaborative surveying process entailing the CBS that may be few as two or up to five separate written or oral interviewing surveys that delve into the human, operative, financial, sales, marketing, administrative, management, technological and other factors affecting the attitude of prospective client and the viability of their business.

PROCESS THREE: Compile and analyze

Using tools gained from experience with many different personalities and types of businesses, the coach compiles objective and subjective data and re-orders it logically. Analytical reviews are utilized to quickly ascertain whether a self-help approach to solving the problems of the troubled or transitional business is realistic or not. If realistic, the coach determines a course of action and what strategic plan must be collaborated upon with client to have any chance for success. If a self help approach is not feasible, the coach will suggest alternatives including Directive consulting if appropriate.

PROCESS FOUR: Profile

The profile takes compiled and analyzed data and profiles the client and the business without the benefit of futher collaboration. This process helps the coach qualify what is perceived reality and extrapolate that to what outsiders may believe or do. With troubled or transitional businesses perception often becomes reality and many times before a satisfactory recovery strategy can be devised and deployed.

PROCESS FIVE: Interview, discuss and collaborate

Once the Profile is complete, the coach then interviews the client further as part of the iterative process to reach the final plan based upon prioritization – usually cash flow and timing. Open discussions confirm or refute the perceptions and establishes emotional boundaries of client to deal with rapid change, personal sacrifice, uncertainty and risk taking.

PROCESS SIX: Plan, empower, encourage and monitor outcome

The last phase includes a face-to-face full day, face-to-face meeting between client and coach that becomes the basis for action. It entails interacting, role playing, and instilling both the courage to forge ahead, mitigate setbacks and learn to correct the course of action on the fly. It also becomes a time when the coach helps heighten the sense of urgency, encourages self confidence and a measure of optimism.

Nevertheless, even the best efforts can result in failure due to outside forces beyond the client’s control. There too is a small amount of time devoted to recovery after a business failure including redirecting productive and emotional energies elsewhere in that event.

The final step is when the client and coach arrange regular phone, web-aided communications with client to monitor various outcomes and support needed adjustments, alternatives, changes in direction or personal attitudes.

Beyond Process Six, should client need continuing interaction, advising or time with coach, individual or bulk sessions can be arranged by phone, web or in-person at mutually agreed fees.
